Director Miranda To Host September 2nd Director’s Run – Last Run of the Season

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., cordially invites the community to join the upcoming Public Safety Run with the Director event at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Newark City Hall, 920 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Blvd. Community members are cordially invited to join Police, Firefighters, members of the Office of Emergency Management, and the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery for this fun activity, aimed at supporting our physical and mental well-being and strengthening our relationships. Runners ages 18+ are welcome to join us by simply throwing on their activewear and sneakers for a 1.5-mile run. This is the last run of the season. Please arrive by 7:45 a.m. for a pre-run stretch. Kindly consult with your doctor before joining the run if you have any medical concerns.
