Newark Police Invites Residents and Visitors To Dispose of Unused or Expired Medications During Operation Takeback

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. announces that Newark Police will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) National Prescription Drug #TakeBackDay on Saturday, October 25th, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. #TakeBackDay offers a safe and free opportunity for Newark residents and visitors to dispose of unused, expired, or unwanted medications discreetly. Deposit your unused prescription drugs, vape pens, or other e-cigarette devices anonymously at a receptacle located at a Newark Police Precinct (Note: Batteries must be removed from devices).
