Wellness Wednesdays! Next Director’s Run – August 27th at 10 17th Avenue

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda invites Police, Firefighters, members of the Office of Emergency Management, and the community to partner for Wellness Wednesdays. Beginning at 8 a.m. each Wednesday before Labor Day, everyone is invited to participate in an activity designed to enhance their physical and mental well-being through a weekly outdoor run. The upcoming Wellness Wednesdays run will take place on August 27th at the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery, located at 10 17^th Avenue. Please arrive by 7:45 a.m. for a pre-run stretch. Dress in activewear and sneakers to participate. New run locations will be announced each week. All are welcome. Please consult with your doctor if you have any medical concerns before participating in the run. The rain date for the August 27th run is Wednesday, September 3rd.
