Newark Police Law Enforcement Explorer Program

The Newark Police Law Enforcement Explorer program provides classroom instruction, educational and physical fitness training, all led by trained instructors.

The program is open to young men and women in grades 9- 12 who are interested in a future career in law enforcement. Participants will develop discipline, respect, self-confidence, and team-building skills. The Explorers program is not a “boot camp” for troubled youth.

The program is structured to simulate a police academy for those interested in law enforcement. Transportation services are available upon request. The Explorers program is open to Newark residents only.
